Hands down the best roti I have ever had outside of Georgetown, Penang. Chicken satay is a very close second to the best hawkers in Georgetown. Save yourself the airfare to Malaysia and come here instead.
Had dinner here last night and really enjoyed it. The beef skewers were tasty, the roti canai was spot on, and the service was quick and friendly. The flavours definitely reminded me of Malaysia.
Our meals were absolutely delicious. Malaysian food but to another level. Small menu but a really good variety. There were four of us and we all enjoyed our selection. The Malaysian salad (see photo) was a real culinary surprise. Definitely be back
Great food and service. Very reasonable pricing. It does have a bit of a fast food feel, so not a wonderful restaurant atmosphere experience ... but clean and tidy. A genuine Malaysian meal taste. Definitely recommend.
So glad to find this place, if you’ve been to Singapore or Malaysia, this is like the real deal. The Prata was good, crispy and flaky, dhal and curry also good - not as good as the best I’ve had in S’pore but it’s excellent. Likewise the nasi lemak and coconut rice - delicious and authentic. Very impressed with the sambal - it could be spicier but also understand that it’s for a broad customer base. Service was excellent (thanks Sonia), fast and courteous. The teh tarik and kopi tarik still a little bit sweet but still good. I will 💯 be back again.
If you’re in Brisbane CBD and craving authentic Malaysian flavours, Mamak is a must 🇲🇾✨ I had the Nasi Lemak with fried chicken and it was incredible — fragrant coconut rice, crispy chicken, and bold, rich sambal. Full of flavour in every bite. The service was fast and super friendly too. Definitely worth a visit.
Nothing like an awesome sit down for lunch, take in the amazing Malaysian cuisine right here in Brisbane CBD… Food for the soul… Lamb curry served with white rice and a chicken curry served with white rice. Now all I wanna do is take a trip to Malaysia. ❤️
Excellent place for when you're craving Indonesian / Malaysian food! I had Maggi mee goreng it was 🔥🔥😍 The rotis are to die for, especially martabak. On my second visit I had the same and I also did a takeaway for the fish curry and it was really really good!! I hope chunk of fish with whole pieces of vegetables, very hearty and very fulfilling. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. It can get really hot though as there's no AC. I took some fish curry back home with me as I liked it that much! The sambal sauce they have has a little fishy flavor to it which my mother absolutely loves. Definitely will be back and has become my regular place to go to now!
My first visit to Mamak Malaysia Resto was very satisfying. The spiced fried chicken was super delicious, full of flavor and very aromatic. The nasi lemak came in a big portion and was very filling. The noodles were also tasty with a perfect texture. The service was friendly and fast, which made the dining experience even better. I would definitely come back again!
